Lakraj Heritage is famed for its ingenious location that gives it a distinct flavour among the beach hotels in Matara and Mirissa. The brainchild behind this luxurious boutique hotel in Polhena is Lakshan Abeynayake who is a Sri Lankan born actor, now residing in France.
History
In the year 2000 he kicked off his professional career while acting in the popular French television series Les vacances de l'amour. Thereafter 2005 became a landmark year in Lakshan’s acting career having acted in the feature film Chok Dee, directed by Xavier Durringer that won him immense critical appraisals. Subsequently Lakshan also acted in 12 feature films, among which are the notable productions like the Man to Man by Regis Warnier, One Dollar Curry by Vijay Singh along with Grand ecole by Robert Salis. He also acted in several French TV series and TV films including La faux, Le groupe, Notable donc coupable, Milady, Aicha and Les mysteres de l'amour among many others.
Overview
Second only to his love of the Arts, Lakshan fell in love with this unique property found on the shores of the Polhena Beach, which even in its rawest form presented such potential to blossom into the haven it is today.
